The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting's proposal for the Central Sector Scheme "Broadcasting Infrastructure and Network Development" (BIND) was approved by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs. The BIND scheme aims to modernize All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (DD), two public broadcasters owned by Prasar Bharati. The scheme will cost Rs. 2,540 crore from now until 2025–2026.
