Every year, from November 9 to November 15, there is an International Week of Science and Peace. As a part of the celebration of the International Year of Peace, it was first observed in 1986. The United Nations General Assembly declared the week in 1988. November 10 is designated as World Science Day for Peace and Development in 2023. This year's celebration has "Building trust in science" as its theme.
