In the Bay of Bengal, the Krishna Godavari Basin Deep Sea Project is run by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The KG-DWN-98/2 block is where the project is situated, and it has undergone several delays and extensions in recent years. On India's east coast lies a petroleum-rich basin called the Krishna Godavari Basin. There are 15,000 square kilometers of onshore space and 25,000 square kilometers of offshore space. Armada Sterling V, a floating platform, has been hired by ONGC for the project. Shapoorji Palonji Oil and Gas owns 70% of the platform, while Malaysia's Bumi Armada owns 30%.
