The government has formed an expert panel, headed by former law secretary T K Vishwanathan, to establish India as a global center for international arbitration and alleviate the strain on courts. The panel will propose reforms to the Arbitration and Conciliation Act. The committee, consisting of Attorney General N Venkataramani, has been established by the Department of Legal Affairs of the Union Law Ministry.
