The 11th president of ADB, Masato Kanda, was overwhelmingly chosen and would begin his term on February 24 of the following year. Kanda, 59, has worked in international finance and policy for 40 years. At the moment, he serves as the Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Japan's Special Advisor. Prior positions included Vice-Minister of Finance for International Affairs and Deputy Vice-Minister for Policy Planning.
