On January 15, 2025, Pune will host the Army Day Parade for the first time. Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa, who served as India's first Army Commander-in-Chief in 1949, is honoured at the parade. The festival, which was previously held in Delhi, started to alternate locations in 2023, with Bengaluru and Lucknow serving as hosts in 2023 and 2024.
