The Eagle 44, also known as Oghab 44, is Iran's first underground air force base. It can hold fighter aircraft fitted with cruise missiles. Iran is believed to be showcasing its aerial military prowess with the unveiling of the Oghab 44 in retaliation to an Israeli-US joint drill. In the event of an attack, it will be home to drones and jets fitted with long-range cruise missiles to take out enemy targets.
