Who has emerged as the first female Subedar in the Indian Army?

Preeti Rajak, a champion trap shooter, made history by becoming the first female subedar in the Army after being promoted from havildar. This is a big deal because women can now join the Army's Corps of Military Police (CMP) as soldiers. Meritorious sportswoman Subedar Rajak, a skilled trap shooter, enlisted in the Army in 2022. As of right now, the only Army branch with female enlistees is the CMP, which provides chances for prospective female Agniveers.
