Forest fires in the Tadvai region threaten the Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary in Telangana. It was founded in 1953 and is located close to the borders of Telangana, Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh. The Dayyam Vagu River passes through it. Famous for the Sammakkka Sarakka Jathra, the Godavari River flows through it. The vegetation is made up of climbers, bamboo, teak, and tropical dry deciduous types. Indian gaurs, giant squirrels, tigers, leopards, and a variety of other animals like sloth bears and wild dogs are among the animals of note.
