As part of its "One Nation, One Helpline" initiative, the Ministry of Women and Child Development had previously announced the consolidation of the current Childline-operated Child Helpline (1098) with the Women's Helpline and Emergency Response Support System (112). The integrated child helpline service will be made available by the end of this month in Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Puducherry, Goa, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu, Mizoram, Gujarat, and Bihar, making it the first of its kind in the country.
