Taiwan-based Wistron said that the Tata Group had been granted approval by its board to purchase its India division, Wistron InfoComm Manufacturing. In Bengaluru and Hosur, Wistron assembles Apple Inc.'s iPhone devices and their component parts. Tata Electronics plans to pay $125 million for the Wistron subsidiary and then officially take over the company's operations.
