On October 2, 2024, Chief of Naval Staff Adm Dinesh K. Tripathi flagged off INSV Tarini for the Navika Sagar Parikrama II. India's maritime prowess and dedication to women's emancipation are demonstrated by this, the first double-handed circumnavigation of the world by Indian women. Since its induction in 2017, INSV Tarini has logged over 66,000 nautical miles and taken part in a number of significant expeditions. The ship is outfitted with cutting-edge safety, communication, and navigation equipment. Under the direction of Cdr Abhilash Tomy (Retd), the officers trained for more than three years in order to be ready for this difficult journey.
