The Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) stadium in Himachal Pradesh has been awarded the first-ever BCCI accreditation, thanks to a novel 'hybrid pitch' developed by SISGrass, a Netherlands-based company. For T20 and 50-over matches, the ICC has approved this innovation, which blends natural turf with 5% polymer fiber. In order to reduce maintenance costs, the pitch promises resilience, durability, and a consistent bounce. The Universal machine that is being used in Dharamshala is going to be replicated in Ahmedabad and Mumbai after installations at famous English grounds such as Lord's and The Oval proved to be successful.
