The 6th Shaastra Rapid FIDE Rated Chess Tournament is being held in Chennai, India, by IIT Madras from March 30 to March 31, 2024. It is the only IIT in India to hold an Open Rapid Rating Tournament every year. Along with international players from nations like Australia, England, America, and Singapore, over 35 players from IIT Madras participate. Six grandmasters, sixteen international masters, three female grandmasters, and a woman international master are among the notable attendees.
