A successful trial run of drone-delivered blood bags was recently completed by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) as part of the iDrone Initiative. 10 units of whole blood samples were transported by drone from Lady Hardinge Medical College (LHMC), New Delhi, and the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida.
