Kim Cotton created history on April 5 when she became the first woman to umpire a men's international game between two full-member teams during the second Twenty20 International between Sri Lanka and New Zealand in Dunedin. In addition to officiating at the women's T20 and ODI World Cups from 2018 to 2023, Cotton has previously worked as an on-field and TV umpire in 54 women's T20 International matches and 24 women's ODIs.
