The Joint Military Exercise "Exercise MITRA SHAKTI-2023" between India and Sri Lanka, in its ninth edition, has commenced in Pune. There are 120 people in the Indian contingent, most of whom are soldiers from the MARATHA LIGHT INFANTRY Regiment. 53 Infantry Division soldiers are taking part on the Sri Lankan side. In addition, five members of the Sri Lankan Air Force and fifteen members of the Indian Air Force are participating in this exercise.
