Along its borders with China and Pakistan, the Indian Air Force has successfully operationalized three of its S-400 air defense missile squadrons. India and Russia reached an agreement in 2018–19 to purchase S–400 missiles for ?35,000 crore. Three of the five squadrons that were scheduled for delivery were actually delivered. On the other hand, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine made it more difficult to deliver the remaining two.
