Recently, a 3M22 Zircon missile fired by Russian forces was aimed towards Kiev. Russia developed the 3M22 Zircon, a hypersonic cruise missile with a 1000 km range and a top speed of Mach 9. It has a two-stage design, the first stage using solid fuel and the second using a scramjet motor. The missile's cooled supersonic combustion ramjet engines produce a plasma cloud that makes it invisible to radar during flight. It is not like other hypersonic weapons such as the Russian Avangard or China's DF-17, which use a combination of passive and active radar seeker guidance.
