In June of this year, Bangladesh will receive diesel on a trial basis from the India-Bangladesh Friendship Pipeline (IBFPL). A pipeline measuring about 131.5 kilometers long has been built to import Indian diesel. 126.5 kilometers of the pipeline are in Bangladesh, and 5 kilometers are in India. The international pipeline will transport diesel from Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation's (BPC) Parbatipur depot to the Numaligarh Refinery Limited's Siliguri-based marketing terminal.
