The ceremonial gavel was passed from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, beginning the process of passing the President's Chair for the upcoming G-20 summit in Brazil. Brazil will formally assume the presidency on December 1 of this year. In order to evaluate the recommendations and choices made at the leaders' summit, Modi also suggested that the G20 hold a virtual session around the end of November.
