Like the National Building and Electrical Codes, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) is creating a National Agriculture Code (NAC). The whole agricultural cycle, from crop selection to post-harvest activities, will be covered by the NAC. General guidelines for all crops and crop-specific guidelines for paddy, wheat, oilseeds, and pulses will make up its two sections. It seeks to provide agricultural officials, academic institutions, and farmers with guidance. Input management, sustainability, organic and natural farming, and the Internet of Things in agriculture will all be covered by NAC. It will help Indian agriculture's capacity building, decision-making, and quality standards.
