Researchers in Kerala have connected nephrotic syndrome to regular use of fairness creams. Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney disease characterized by glomeruli inflammation and excessive proteinuria. While healthy kidneys filter waste, urine containing protein leaks from inflamed glomeruli. It is not a particular kind of kidney disease; rather, it can be the outcome of several illnesses that harm kidney filters. Nephrotic syndrome can be brought on by illnesses such as diabetes, lupus, and nephritis, which can affect the kidneys as well as other body parts.
