The Cabinet has approved the "PM- eBus Sewa" bus program, which will add 10,000 electric buses to the city's existing bus fleet. The estimated cost of the program is Rs. 57,613 crore, of which the central government will contribute Rs. 20,000 crore in support. For ten years, the Scheme will fund bus operations. Priority will be given to cities with no organized bus service under this plan.
