On March 21, leaders from thirty-four nations gathered in Brussels for the Nuclear Energy Summit. The summit, which was co-hosted by Belgium and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), sought to discuss ways to use nuclear power to help achieve sustainable development objectives and net-zero emissions. Following COP28, in which more than 20 nations committed to using more nuclear energy, the summit focused on doable financing and deployment strategies. Expert panels discussed ways to optimize the potential of nuclear energy.
