Following Ram Lalla's Pran Pratishtha, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya hosted a 42-day Mahamandal festival. Under the direction of Ram Mandir trustee Jagadguru Vishvesh Prapann Tirtha, the celebration begins on January 24 and features worship with 48 urns in the sanctum sanctorum as well as a daily Kalash puja. In keeping with Vaishnav tradition, Bhagwan Ram will be rewarded with a Rajbhog of various candies. During the festival, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi complex hosts a 42-day Havan during which different mantras are recited.
