India's first polarimetry mission is called XPoSat (X-Ray Polarimeter Satellite). Raman Research Institute and ISRO are currently constructing it. ISRO states that the two payloads on the XPoSat will "study various dynamics of bright astronomical X-ray sources in extreme conditions." It is only the second polarimetry mission ever undertaken to investigate the dynamics of bright astronomical X-ray sources under adverse circumstances.
