The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has been granted Navratna status by the Department of Public Enterprises. The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy oversaw the establishment of IREDA in 1987, and it is a non-banking financial institution. A composite score of 60 or higher in a few chosen performance indicators, as well as continuous high performance—such as receiving "excellent" or "very good" ratings in MoUs for three of the previous five years—are among the requirements that lead to the awarding of the Navratna status.
