A study on dietary supplements was just published by the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). 145,000 samples of protein powder were tested by the regulator, and 4,890 were found to be unsafe and 16,582 to be subpar. The Consumer Protection Act of 2019 prohibits falsely describing a product or service and purposefully omitting information about its sugar content in favor of claims that they will boost immunity.
