India is ranked 67th out of 174 countries in the World Bank's compilation of statistical performance indicators (SPI) for 2019. The SPI framework places special emphasis on five fundamental components that make up a nation's statistical performance: data use, data services, data products, data sources, and data infrastructure. The Statistical Capacity Indicator (SCI), which the World Bank had been disseminating since 2004, was replaced by it.
