NASA's Osiris-Rex spacecraft is scheduled to return to Earth after successfully delivering dust samples from the asteroid Bennu. In 2016, NASA launched it. In order to learn more about the beginnings of life on Earth, scientists will analyze the asteroid sample. Apophis will be studied by the OSIRIS-REx, now known as OSIRIS-APEX (OSIRIS-Apophis Explorer), when the asteroid approaches the Earth in 2029.
