A record 75% of the defense capital procurement budget for 2023–2024 has been set aside for domestic industry, according to Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh. A total of 5.94 lakh crore rupees, or 13.18% of the total budget, has been allotted to the Ministry of Defence for 2023–2024. The amount of capital allocated for infrastructure development and modernization has been raised to 1.63 lakh crore rupees.
