Vindhyagiri, a Project 17A frigate, was unveiled by President Droupadi Murmu at the Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited in Kolkata. It is the sixth ship in the line of Project 17A frigates and was given the name of a mountain range in Karnataka. Seven Project 17A Frigates are being built at Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) and GRSE in various stages of completion.
