The Sanchar Saathi portal, which enables users to locate their lost or stolen mobile phones, has finally been launched by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. Mobile phones that have been lost or stolen can be blocked using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) system. The Center for Department of Telematics (CDoT) is in charge of maintaining the system.
