In Mumbai, the Reserve Bank of India and Bank Indonesia inked a Memorandum of Understanding to encourage cross-border transactions in Indonesian Rupiah and Indian Rupee. A framework for increasing the use of local currencies was established by BI Governor Perry Warjiyo and RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das with the goal of improving trade, strengthening economic ties, and deepening financial integration between India and Indonesia.
