Recently, two Royal Bengal tigers, two leopards, four golden pigeons, one silver pigeon, two peafowls, and four hill mynas were added to the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary in Tripura. The 18.5 square kilometer sanctuary was founded in 1972 and has sections dedicated to various animal species. It is home to a wide range of wildlife, including monkeys, leopards, clouded leopards, and a resurrected crab-eating mongoose, as well as a diversified flora with 456 plant species. The White Ibis and Winged Stork are just two of the many species of birds that call the sanctuary home.
