An AI supercomputer called 'Stargate' will be built as part of a $100 billion project between Microsoft and OpenAI. It will debut in 2028, after OpenAI's AI upgrade in 2022. The project intends to 100-fold increase the capabilities of current data centers. A smaller fourth-phase supercomputer is planned for release in 2026. The supercomputer is divided into five phases, with Stargate being the fifth. Large sums of money will be spent on purchasing necessary AI chips.
