The government of Uttarakhand has approved a 10% horizontal reservation for statehood activists in state government positions. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami presided over the cabinet meeting where the decision was made. The proposal to increase the MLA Local Area Development Fund from 3 crore 75 lakh to 5 crore annually also received approval from the Cabinet.
