In order to meet demand from both domestic and international markets, Micron reaffirmed its commitment to establishing Gujarat as the site of India's first semiconductor plant, which will directly employ 5,000 people. The project requires a $2.75 billion investment in total. By December 2024, the first chip produced in India should be ready.
