Of all the states in India, Kerala got the most Geographical Indication (GI) tags for items in FY23, according to data given by the GI Registry. Attappady Aattukombu Avara (beans), Attappady Thuvara (red gramme), Onattukara Ellu (sesame), Kanthaloor Vattavada Veluthuli (garlic), and Kodungallur Pottuvellari (snap melon) are only a few of the Keralan items that have received the GI label.
