The Karnataka government wants to build 80,000 jobs in the planned KHIR City and draw in Rs 40,000 crore in investments in the knowledge, innovation, and healthcare sectors. To conceptualize the creation of a Knowledge, Healthcare, Innovation, and Research (KHIR) City on the outskirts of Bengaluru, the Karnataka government met with think tanks from the industry. The new investment region will be situated 60 kilometers from Bengaluru on 2,000 acres of land.
