In order to improve farmers' welfare, road connectivity, and water security in Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a number of projects. In North Karnataka's Yadgir, he opened the Narayanpur Left Bank Canal, which has a contemporary irrigation system. It will help irrigate more than five lakh hectares in the underdeveloped areas of Yadgir, Raichur, and Kalburgi at a cost of 4699 crore rupees.
