The Telangana government recently unveiled the Lake Development Program. In and around Hyderabad, it aims to revitalize and develop 50 water bodies. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is responsible for 25 of the 50 lakes, while the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is responsible for the remaining 25.
