The fifth stealth Scorpene class submarine of the Indian Navy, INS Vagir, was commissioned at the Naval Dockyard Mumbai. The Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) Mumbai is constructing six Scorpene Class submarines in India as part of Project 75 (P75), a partnership with M/s Naval Group, France. Among all submarines made in-country, Vagir holds the distinction of taking the least time to construct.
