Nepal's third international airport, which was constructed with Chinese assistance, was opened by Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachand in Pokhara. Chinese loans were used to build the Pokhara Regional International Airport (PRIA), a centerpiece of the Nepal-China Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) partnership.
