The 148th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly took place from March 23–27, 2024, in Geneva, Switzerland. Established in 1889, the IPU is a global organization with offices in Vienna, Austria, and New York, USA, in addition to its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Attending the function was a seven-person Indian parliamentary delegation led by deputy chairman of the Rajya Sabha, Harivansh. There are 180 member countries in the IPU.
