The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MoSJE) and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs collaborated to create the NAMASTE Central Sector Scheme. The National Action Plan for Mechanized Sanitation Ecosystem is known as NAMASTE. The scheme has been allocated Rs 100 crore in this year's Union Budget.
