To make it easier to report violations of the Prohibition of Electronic Cigarettes (Production, Manufacture, Import, Export, Transport, Sale, Distribution, Storage and Advertisement) Act (PECA), the Union Health Ministry has launched an online portal (www.violation-reporting.in). E-cigarettes are still being sold on e-commerce sites, even to those who are younger than 18 years old, despite the ban that the Union government imposed in 2019.
