In the union territory of Ladakh, at Pangong Tso Lake, there will be the first "frozen-lake marathon" in India. This event will take place over a distance of 21 kilometers at an elevation of 13,862 feet. The marathon will finish at Maan village, having begun at Lukung. The event will be supervised by the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and the Indian Army. The reason this marathon is dubbed the "Last Run" is to draw attention to climate change.
