To combat the drug threat in the national capital, "Operation Kawach" has been instituted. The Delhi Police detained a total of 776 people who were involved in drug offenses as part of this operation. In connection with 615 cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS), these arrests were made. So far, the police have been successful in seizing about 36 kilograms of heroin.
